Description
Borg & Beck BTR6106 inner rack end for the Insignia Mk I, sold in New Zealand as the Holden Insignia and Opel Insignia. New old stock, never fitted. The box shows storage age. The part is new and unused.
One in stock. Fits the left or right side.
What it is. The inner tie rod, also called an axial joint. It screws into the end of the steering rack under the rubber boot, and the outer tie rod end threads onto it. A worn rack end gives a clunk through the steering and play in the wheel, and will fail a WoF.
Specification

- Same part as First Line FTR6106
What it fits
- Insignia Mk I, 2008 to 2017 (Holden, Opel and Vauxhall)

Fitment
Compare this with the one you are pulling out, or send us your rego and we will confirm before you buy.
Fitting
- Count the threads on the outer tie rod end so you can set the toe close to where it was.
- Remove the outer tie rod end and the rack boot.
- Unscrew the old rack end from the rack and fit the new one, torqued to spec.
- Refit the boot with new clips and get a wheel alignment.
