The box carries its years and the joint does not.The label gives A=30, B=53, C=33, D=77.1. So 30 teeth inside, a 53 mm seal and 33 outer spline teeth. The A45 is a 45 tooth ABS ring.That size matches the genuine VW and Audi outer joint 3B0498099 and 8D0498099. Parts catalogues list that joint for these cars: VW Passat B5 and B5.5, 1997 to 2005, four cylinder engines. Audi A4 B5, 1995 to 2001, four cylinder engines. Audi A6 C5, 1997 to 2005, 1.8 turbo. Skoda Superb, first generation. Count the splines. The V6 and some diesel versions take a larger joint with more splines. Count them on yours and check for the ABS ring. The box is the only part that looks old.A wear sensor, not a set of pads. It is the small plug and wire that sits in the pad. As the pad wears down it puts the dashboard warning light on.
