The GM and Fiat 1.9 diesel. This is one of the most widely fitted glow plugs in Europe, and a lot of those cars came to New Zealand. Bosch cross reference lists it against:

  • Holden and Opel Astra H, Vectra C, Zafira B and Signum, 1.9 CDTi, 2004 onwards
  • Saab 9-3 and 9-5, 1.9 TiD
  • Alfa Romeo 147, 156, 159, 166, GT, Brera and Spider, 1.9 and 2.4 JTD
  • Fiat Bravo, Croma and Stilo, 1.9 and 2.4 Multijet
  • Lancia Thesis 2.4

Ten in stock, which is two full sets. These engines are four cylinder, so ten covers two complete jobs with a pair spare.

Eleven volt, dual core. The later Duraterm design, which glows faster and keeps glowing after the engine fires. M9 x 1.0 thread, 9mm spanner, 152mm long, 30mm fitting depth. Torque to 8 to 10 Nm, and no more.

The number you will find on the old one. Holden, Opel, Saab and Vauxhall all use 93178411. Alfa, Fiat and Lancia use 46792355. Opel also list 1214034, 1214071 and 95508487. Others include Beru GN059, Champion CH224, Delphi HDS409, Denso DG-170, NGK 6092 and YE07, Valeo 345131 and Febi 24483.

A note on the suffix. Bosch ship this part number with packaging suffixes after it. Our stock came in as both EAF and EAP. Same plug, same 0 250 203 001 number, same EAN, so we sell them as one item.

  • Check the glow module as well. On these it fails more often than the plugs do.

    business days to main centres and 3–5 business days to regional and rural areas.
