Description
Genuine Bosch BP3144 front brake pad set, catalogued as DB2160BL. Fifteen sets in stock, the deepest brake pad line we hold.
Front axle, Mitsubishi Triton MK. The 2.8 diesel with the 4M40 engine, built 1996 to 2006. Both drivelines:
-
K67T, two wheel drive ute
-
K77T, four wheel drive ute
-
K77T cab chassis
- GLX and GLS trims
These are everywhere here. The MK Triton came to New Zealand new and kept arriving as a used import. A lot of them are still doing farm and trade work. Front pads on a loaded ute are a consumable, not a once in a decade job.
Why fifteen sets matters. Run a small fleet or a workshop that sees these regularly? This is enough to keep a few on the shelf rather than ordering one at a time.
One thing to check. More than one front pad shape was fitted across the Triton range over those ten years. Compare the shape and thickness against your old pads. Or send us the chassis number, starting K67T or K77T, and we will confirm it.
What we can tell you
- Bosch BP3144
- Catalogue number DB2160BL
- Front axle, four pads to the set
- Genuine Bosch, boxed
Fitment
Mitsubishi Triton MK 2.8 diesel on the front. Chassis number or rego and we will check it against the number before anything ships.
Fitting
- Ute calipers live a hard life. Free off the slide pins and grease them properly while it is apart.
- Check the disc thickness at the same time. A worn disc will eat a new set of pads.
- Do both sides, and bed them in before you load the tray up.
- If the ute tows, expect to look at the fronts more often than a car.
Best fitted by a qualified mechanic.
