Description
Genuine Bosch GLP309 glow plug, Duraterm line. Bosch part number F 002 G50 079. Ten in stock.
Mazda B2200 diesel. That is the application Bosch retailers list this number against most consistently. Multi-packs of the same number are also sold as covering the Ford Ranger, Kia Besta, other Mazdas and Suzuki, over a long run from the early 1980s. Those wider lists come from sellers rather than Bosch, so treat the B2200 as the sure one and check the rest.
It sits in the Mazda WL and R2 cross reference group, alongside HKT and JAPKO PZ39, NGK Y701J and Mazda WL03-18-601. If your old plug matches any of those, you are in the right family.
This one is different from the rest of our glow plug shelf. Most of what we hold is old Japanese made stock in yellow cartons. This is a current Bosch Duraterm in the modern blue box, made in India. It carries a Bosch anti-counterfeit code on the lid that you can verify yourself at protect.bosch.com.
What Duraterm means. Bosch's dual coil design, reaching glow temperature in about five seconds and capable of post-glow for up to three minutes. Quicker starts and less smoke on a cold morning than an old single coil plug.
Ten in stock, so two full sets for a four cylinder with a couple spare.

Fitment
Mazda B2200 diesel, or anything calling for F002G50079. Send the engine code and we will check it before it ships.
Fitting
- Cold engine, as always with glow plugs.
- Soak a stubborn one instead of leaning on it.
- Low torque. Nickel plated threads help, but they still snap if you get rough.
- Do the full set and check the relay at the same time.
Best fitted by a qualified mechanic.
