Description
Water pump for the Fuso Canter. GMB GWM-68A, made in Japan, boxed and never opened.
Truck parts get used hard, but not this one. It has spent its whole life in a warehouse, and only the carton shows it.
The label is specific. W/PUMP MITS CANTER 4D33/4D34 89 on. The 4D33 is the 4.2 litre and the 4D34 is the 3.9, both of them the old 8 valve diesels.
Mind the October 1993 split. This is where Canter pumps catch people out. Australian catalogues list GWM-68A as the pump up to 10/1993, and GMB's GWM-65A as the one from 11/1993 on. A supplier listing puts the range at 10/1989 to 10/1993. If your truck is a late build, check before you order.
Models named against this number include the Canter FE325, FE335 and FE339. Also the FE425, FE435, FE439, FE445 and FE449, plus the FG439 four wheel drive.
Parts suppliers tie GWM-68A to Mitsubishi ME013169, ME013410, ME993515, ME996865 and ME013868, and to NPW M-56.
Our other Canter pump. We also list a GMB GWM-67A for the Canter. Different number, so read the one on your old pump rather than picking by model name.
Fitment
Mitsubishi Fuso Canter with the 4D33 or 4D34, from 1989. Send us the chassis code off the door pillar and the build date, and we will sort the right one.
Fitting
- Big diesel, big cooling system. Have a drum ready before you crack anything open.
- Look over the fan hub and the belts while the front is stripped down.
- Faces clean and flat, new gasket, torque to the Fuso figure.
- Refill, bleed it, then load the truck up and watch the gauge on a hill.
- Best fitted by a qualified mechanic.
