Description
Water pump for the Mazda K series. GMB GWMZ-42A, made in Thailand, two of them here.
Bought in, shelved, forgotten. The red carton has softened at the corners. The pump behind it is as it left the factory.
Read this if you are also looking at our GWMZ-43A. We stock both, they cover the same three engines, and they are not the same pump. This one carries Mazda 8AE1-15-010 and 8AE2-15-010. The 43A carries 8AK2-15-010. Cross reference tables muddle the two. Work off the number on the pump you are removing, or hold the old one up against ours before you commit.

Fitment
Mazda K8, KF and KL, 1991 to 1995, as the box has it. Send us the rego, or better still the number off the old pump. We will say which of the two you want.
Fitting
- Getting at it means stripping the front of the engine. Do the belt and idlers while it is open.
- Empty the system and give the radiator a back flush while you have the chance.
- Dress the housing face flat, then sit the gasket on dry.
- Even pull on every bolt, no rattle gun anywhere near alloy.
- Best fitted by a qualified mechanic.
