Description
Water pump for the Mazda K series V6. GMB GWMZ-43A, made in Thailand, two in stock.
Shelf stock, sealed box, no engine oil on it anywhere. The carton looks its age and nothing else does.
The engines. GMB print K8, KF and KL on the box, at 1800cc, 2000cc and 2500cc. All three are the narrow angle V6 Mazda built through the nineties. The distributor label narrows it further and reads MAZ V6 2.5 KL/K8/KF 91-95.
The models on the box
- AZ-3, Capella and Cronos
- Eunos 500 and Eunos 800, Lantis and Millenia
- MS6 and MS8, MX-6 and Telstar
- Chassis codes EC8SE, ES8E, GEEP and GE8P
- 1991 to 2002
The box prints Telster, which is Mazda's Telstar. Plenty of the rest came here from Japan, so Eunos 500 and Lantis are the ones we see most.
Mazda numbers on the label are 8AK2-15-010 and KL47-15-010C. NZ suppliers list the same pump as ABD ABW1603, OEX WP3076X, Repco WP3076RP and Proselect PSWP3076.
Fitment
Mazda K8, KF and KL V6, 1991 to 2002, as listed on the box. Tell us your model or your rego and we will narrow it down.
Fitting
- The cam belt has to come off to reach this pump. Budget for a belt kit at the same time.
- Old coolant out and the housing face cleaned up before anything new goes on.
- Tighten the bolts a little at a time, working around the pump.
- Fill it, burp the air out, then recheck the level cold the next day.
- Best fitted by a qualified mechanic.
