Description
Steering rack boot. POK BS66042, also marked BS66042C-J, made in Taiwan. One boot per pack.
New old stock. Never fitted. The bag is the aged part.
This is a steering rack boot, not a CV boot. It is the concertina rubber sealing the end of the steering rack, where the inner tie rod comes out. Its job is keeping grit and water off the rack.
If yours is split, get it replaced before the rack is damaged. A torn boot fails a warrant, too.
The pack names no vehicle. Measure the two openings on the one you are taking off. That is the small end on the tie rod and the large end on the rack housing. Send us those figures or the rego.
Fitment
Not listed on the pack. Have a word before you order.
Fitting
- Mark the tie rod position before you undo anything, so the tracking stays close.
- Get the wheel alignment checked afterwards.
- New ties or clamps at both ends.
- Best fitted by a qualified mechanic.
