New old stock. Never fitted. The box has aged in storage, the mount has not.

Fitment

The box label lists this mount for the Audi A3 1.6 FSI from 2003. That is the second generation A3, chassis code 8P. It is the front right mount, on the right side of the engine bay.

Check yours first. Audi used several right mounts on the A3 8P depending on the engine. The Audi number on the old mount starts with 1K0 199 262. Hold this one against what you are taking out. If you are unsure, the rego will do.

This is a hydraulic mount, filled with fluid to soak up vibration. A worn one often leaks and lets the engine shake at idle.

Fitting

  • Take the weight of the engine from above or below before the mount comes out.
  • Use new bolts anywhere the factory calls for stretch bolts.
  • Torque everything with the engine sitting at rest, not hanging.
  • Best fitted by a qualified mechanic.
