Description
Woking P4873.11 front brake pad set. Four pads, enough for the front axle. Made in Spain by Eurofren Systems at Mutilva Baja in Navarra.
We stock two P4873 sets, so check the WVA number first. This one is WVA 21927 and 21929, approval E9 90R-01112/740. Our P4873.00 is WVA 21928, approval E1 90R-01022/104. Both list the Brava 1.8 16V and the 1.9TD, so the model name alone will not separate them. The number stamped on the back of your old pad will.
Fiat, and mostly the interesting ones. The box lists the applications precisely, so here they are as printed:
- Bravo and Brava 1.6i 16v with ABS, from 09.95
- Bravo and Brava 1.8i 16v, 95 to 97, and 1.9TD from 96
- Punto mark one 1.2i 16v Sporting, 04.97 to 01.99
- Punto mark one 1.4i GT Turbo, 09.96 to 01.99
- Punto mark one 1.7 TD, 01.97 to 01.99
Note how tight the Punto dates are. The mark one GT Turbo and Sporting both stop at January 1999, so a later car takes a different pad. The Punto applications are unique to this set, so if that is your car, this is the one.
Type approved to ECE R90. The mark is E9 90R-01112/740, with ASS 587 11-0 alongside it. R90 means the pad has been tested to perform within a set margin of the original equipment part, which is the standard a replacement pad has to meet to be road legal in this market.
WVA 21927 at 17.6mm thick, and WVA 21929. WVA is the European pad dimension code, so if your old pads carry either of those numbers stamped on the backing plate, these are the right shape.
What that WVA number opens up. Pads sharing 21927 and 21929 include Brembo P 23 070, Ferodo FDB1056, ATE 13.0460-7064.2, Bosch BP173 and Febi Bilstein 16091. Useful for checking you are in the right family, though always confirm against your own car rather than the list.

Fitment
Any of the Fiats listed above, where the old pad carries WVA 21927 or 21929 on the front. One set here, so if you want discs to go with it, ask and we will see what is on the shelf.
Fitting
- Pads go in as a full axle set. Never just one side.
- Push the piston back gently and keep an eye on the reservoir, because the fluid has to go somewhere.
- Clean the carrier and the slide pins while it is apart. Most pad complaints come back to seized slides.
- Bed them in properly before you need them in anger.
Best fitted by a qualified mechanic.
