Bosch NGK BPR5ES Equivalent Spark Plug - Bosch WR9DC+ 7512
Bosch WR9DC+ spark plug. Bosch stock number 7512, trade number 16, part number 0 242 225 599. Eight in stock. Made in Russia, as printed on the carton. This is the workhorse one. The 7512 turns up against a very long list of older cars. Cadillac, Saab, Toyota, Chevrolet, Datsun and Nissan, Dodge, BMW, Jeep and Mercedes-Benz all appear against it, mostly through the late sixties to the mid eighties. If you are running something of that era with a 14mm plug, this is worth checking against. The NGK number people know it by is BPR5ES. That is the one to search if your parts book speaks NGK.Mind the gap, literally. We stock three different Bosch WR9 plugs and the gap is what separates them: WR9DC+, this one. Part 599. Gap 0.8mm. WR9LCX+. Part 625. Gap 1.1mm. WR9LEV+. Part 626. Gap 1.3mm. All three are WR9, all three torque to 28 Nm, and all three will thread into the same hole. The gap is the difference, so work from the manual rather than the shelf.Other brands' numbers. NGK BPR5ES. Champion RN12YC, RN11YC4, RN13Y, RN14YC and stock 405. Denso W14EPR-U, W14EXR-U, W16EXR-U and VW16. Brisk LR17YC-9. Eyquem RC30LS. Bosch Platinum Spark Plug, Made in Germany - Bosch WR8DPX 4019
Bosch WR8DPX spark plug. Bosch stock number 4019, part number 0 242 229 557. Four in stock. This is a platinum plug, and the box says so. PLATINUM PLUS is printed under the Bosch name. A platinum centre electrode wears far slower than plain nickel, which is why these were sold as the long service option rather than the cheap one.Made in Germany. The carton carries the German flag stripe and the full Robert Bosch GmbH address at Karlsruhe. Most of what comes across this bench was made in Brazil or Russia, so this one is a bit of a throwback.Gap and torque. Set at 1.1mm, .044 of an inch. Tighten to 28 Nm, or seat it and go 90 degrees.Other brands' numbers. The Bosch WR8DP platinum family indexes to NGK BPR5ES and BPR5EIX, Autolite AP65, and Champion 3415 and 404. Related Bosch and Denso numbers in the same cluster include Denso W20EPB, W20TT and VW20, Brisk L15YC, and Valeo 246195.One thing worth flagging. Our Bosch WR9DC+ also indexes to NGK BPR5ES. Bosch split their heat ranges finer than NGK do, so a single NGK number can cover more than one Bosch plug. If you are working from an NGK book, treat BPR5ES as the neighbourhood and then match on the Bosch number and the gap.Straight off the box Electrode gap 1.1mm, .044 inch Tightening torque 28 Nm, or 90 degrees once seated Resistor type, which is the R Platinum centre electrode Made in Germany FitmentWhatever calls for Bosch WR8DPX, Bosch 4019 or Bosch 0 242 229 557. Bosch Platinum Spark Plug 0.9mm Gap - Bosch WR8CP Platine
Bosch WR8CP spark plug, part number 0 242 229 556. Three in stock.Platinum, and German made. The carton says BOSCH PLATINE in the German spelling, carries the flag stripe, and gives the full Robert Bosch GmbH address at Karlsruhe. Platinum on the centre electrode holds its gap far longer than plain nickel. Now read this before you order. We also stock the Bosch WR8DPX, which is part 0 242 229 557. One digit away from this one. Same heat range, same platinum, same German factory, consecutive barcodes. They are still not the same plug: WR8CP, this one. Part 556. Gap 0.9mm. Interchange tables group it with the WR9CC. WR8DPX. Part 557. Gap 1.1mm. Grouped instead with the WR8D family, WR8DC and WR8DP. The C and the D in the middle of the code are doing real work. Two tenths of a millimetre on the gap and a different interchange group entirely. Work from the number in your manual. What we could not confirm. We could not pin a specific NGK code to WR8CP from a source we would stand behind, so we have not printed one. Bosch Rover V8 Renault Short Reach Plug - Bosch WR8BC+ 20
Bosch WR8BC+ spark plug. Bosch trade number 20, part number 0 242 229 657. Four in stock. This one is short reach, and that matters more than anything else on the page. The B in the code means a half inch thread, 12.7mm, not the 19mm that most of the Bosch W range uses. Its NGK equivalents are the BPR4HS and BPR5HS, and the H in those is the same half inch. Champion call it L92YC, and the L prefix means the same thing again. Three brands, three codes, all saying short.Put a short reach plug in a long reach head and you leave a ring of exposed thread to carbon up. Go the other way and the plug can reach further into the chamber than it should. Neither is a small mistake, so check before you order. What it goes in. The early Rover V8 is the big one. Range Rover Classic 3.5 from 1969, Morgan Plus Eight 3.5, and the MGB GT V8. Also Renault 4, 5, 6 and 10, the Dacia 1310 1.5, and Triumph. Bosch VW Golf Passat Polo 3 Electrode Plug - Bosch WR7LTC+
Bosch WR7LTC+ spark plug. Bosch stock number 7415, trade number 2, part number 0 242 235 664. Nine in stock.Three ground electrodes, not one. That is what the T in the code means, and it is the first multi electrode plug to come across this bench. Bosch rate the three electrode design for a 40,000km service interval. A plain single electrode plug gets 20,000km. The spark jumps to whichever earth is in the best shape, so the gap effectively stays honest for longer.Where it goes. This is a Volkswagen plug. Golf 2, 3 and 4. Passat B3. Polo 6N1. Vento. The Audi and Seat part number 101 000 036 AA covers the same plug, and Citroen and Peugeot list it as 5962 4F.Full specification, from Bosch's own data 14mm thread, 1.25mm pitch, gasket seat 19mm reach, 21mm hex, removable nut terminal Gap 1.0mm, .040 inch Three nickel ground electrodes Yttrium enhanced centre electrode with a copper core, 2.5mm, projected Resistor type at 6 kilohms, metal glass fused Five rib angular insulator to resist flashover Nickel plated rolled threads, anti seize Torque. The box says 28 Nm, or 21 ft lb, or 90 degrees once seated. Bosch publish 15 to 22 ft lb for aluminium heads and 15 to 29 for cast iron. Bosch Motorcycle Outboard Short Reach Plug - Bosch WR5AC
Bosch WR5AC spark plug, part number 0 242 245 517. Six in stock.Short reach and flat seat. The A in the code gives a 12.7mm thread, half an inch, and the seat is flat rather than the usual gasket. Two things at once that make this plug wrong for most cars and right for a whole world of smaller engines.Motorcycles, outboards, small engines. The NGK equivalent BR7HS carries OE numbers from Suzuki, Honda, Yamaha, Kawasaki, Aprilia and Piaggio, along with Makita, Robin and John Deere. The BR7HS-10 variant adds Mercury and Mercruiser outboard numbers and an OMC one.Specification, from the NGK BR7HS data 14mm thread 12.7mm reach, half inch 21mm hex, removable terminal nut Flat seat, no gasket Non projected tip, standard construction Read this about the gap. Bosch set these at 0.5mm, or .020 of an inch, which is tight. The NGK plugs it cross references to leave the factory at wider settings, the BR7HS at around 0.7mm and the BR7HS-10 at 1.0mm. So do not assume the number on a cross reference chart comes with your gap. Set it to what your handbook says before it goes in.Other brands' numbers. NGK BR7HS, BR7HS-10, B7HS and B7HS-10. Champion L78C, RL82C, 874 and 807M. Denso W22FSR, TR22 and 4024. Autolite 422 and 3684. ACDelco R41CF and S42FR. Brisk NR14, Motorcraft AER2X and Magneti Marelli CW8NR. Bosch print the no boat symbol on the carton, yet the interchange tables list Mercury, Mercruiser and OMC outboard numbers against this plug. If yours is going in an outboard, go by what the engine maker specifies rather than the chart.FitmentWhatever calls for Bosch WR5AC, Bosch 0 242 245 517 or NGK BR7HS. Tell us the machine and we will check reach, seat and gap against it.Fitting Engine stone cold before you touch it. Flat seat, so there is no gasket to crush. It relies on the face being clean and the torque being right. Set the gap to the handbook figure, not the 0.5mm it arrives at. 28 Nm on the box, but a small alloy head may want less. Check first.

Bosch Small Engine Short Reach Plug - Bosch WR10FC 7519
Bosch WR10FC spark plug. Bosch stock number 7519, part number 0 242 219 512. Eleven in stock.A hot plug with a short thread. Two things set this apart from most of the Bosch range. The heat range is 10, which on Bosch's scale is at the hot end, and every Champion number it crosses to carries a J prefix. In Champion's system a J means a three eighths inch thread, so this is a short reach plug, shorter again than the half inch ones.Hot and short together points at small low compression engines rather than cars. Mowers, generators, pumps, that sort of thing.Do not mix it up with our WR10DC. We stock that one as well. Same heat range, entirely different thread length. The F and the D are the letters that matter, so go by the full code rather than the number in the middle.Other brands' numbers. Champion RJ18YC, RJ18Y, RJ14YC, RJ14Y, J18YC, J14YC, RJ20Y and stock 58. Denso W14PR-U, W14P-U, W16PR-U, W9PR-U and stock 6007. General Motors 5612390, 5613115, 5613514 and 5613866. Tell us the machine and we will confirm the reach before you commit.Fitting Cold engine, lead off first. Comes set at 0.9mm. Check that against the handbook. The box says 28 Nm, though a small cast head often wants a good deal less. Look it up. A hot plug in the wrong engine will pre ignite. If the old one was not a 10, do not fit a 10.

Bosch NGK BPR2ES Champion RN14YC Equiv - Bosch WR10DC
Bosch WR10DC spark plug, part number 0 242 219 525. Four in stock. The carton is the older black and grey Bosch design with the cutaway drawing on the face and Cu-Electrode printed along the top. This is the long reach WR10. We stock two plugs at heat range 10 and the difference is the thread, not the temperature: WR10DC, this one. Part 525. Gap 0.8mm. Crosses to Champion RN14YC, and an RN in Champion's system is a three quarter inch thread. WR10FC. Part 512. Gap 0.9mm. Crosses to Champion RJ18YC, and an RJ is a three eighths inch thread. Same heat range, twice the reach on this one. The letter after the 10 is the whole story, so read the full code. The NGK number is BPR2ES. Worth a word on that, because a Bosch 10 and an NGK 2 look nothing alike. The two scales run in opposite directions. Bosch count up as the plug gets hotter, NGK count down. A Bosch 10 and an NGK 2 are both at the hot end, which is why they pair.Other brands' numbers. NGK BPR2ES and BPR2E. Champion RN14YC, RN14Y, N14YC, N14Y, N13Y, N16YC and OE111. Bosch Mercedes W204 W212 Double Iridium Plug - Bosch V6SII3328
Bosch V6SII3328 spark plug, Bosch stock number 7434. Seven in stock. This is a double iridium Mercedes-Benz plug, and it does not belong with the rest of our Bosch shelf. Almost everything else here is a copper or nickel plug from the seventies through the nineties. This one is current Mercedes original equipment with iridium on both the centre and the ground electrode, which is the top of the Bosch range.Where it goes. Mercedes-Benz W176 A-Class, W204 C-Class and W212 E-Class. It also shows up against the GLE 4.0T. Mercedes list it under A0041596903 and 0041598103, and Bosch also carry it as 0241140537 and 0241140522.Note the reach. Thread length is 26.5mm, well past the 19mm that most plugs on this shelf run. The terminal end is also a different shape to an older plug, which catches people out when they compare the two side by side.Other brands' numbers. NGK SILZKFR8D7S and SILZKFR8E7S.On the code itself. The two letters in the middle are capital I twice, for the double iridium, not the digits one one. Bosch Mower Chainsaw Spark Plug NGK BM6F Equiv - Bosch HS7E
Bosch HS7E spark plug, part number 0 241 235 713. Four in stock.Another one out of the old yellow and grey boxes. The Cr-Ni marking means chrome nickel electrodes, the material Bosch used before the copper range. These cartons date from a long way back and this one has never been opened.Small engine, not car. Everything it crosses to says so. NGK's BM series and Champion's DJ series are mower, chainsaw and trimmer plugs, and the box torque of 20 Nm is the small engine figure rather than the 28 Nm a car plug carries.Other brands' numbers. NGK BM6F, BM7A, BM7F and stock 6221. Champion DJ7J, DJ8J, RDJ7J, 850 and 847. Denso T20M-U, WA20M-U and 6039. Motorcraft AF3NX and AF5NX. Brisk U15 and U17. General Motors 5613234 and 5613727. The two are not the same plug, and the Champion numbers separate them, CJ4 for the WS5E against DJ7J for this one. If you are working from an NGK book alone you will not see the difference, so use the Champion or Bosch number instead. What is on the box HS7E Bosch part number 0 241 235 713 Tightening torque 20 Nm Cr-Ni chrome nickel electrode No gap or barcode printed on this carton FitmentWhatever calls for Bosch HS7E, NGK BM6F or Champion DJ7J. Bosch Taper Seat Spark Plug NGK TR5 Equiv - Bosch HR8DCV+
Bosch HR8DCV+ spark plug. Bosch stock number 79016, trade number 30, part number 0 242 229 737. Nine in stock. This one has a tapered seat, not a gasket. That is the important bit. A taper seat plug has no washer. It wedges into a matching cone in the head, and it needs far less torque than a gasket plug. The box tells you as much with 15 degrees and 20 Nm, where every gasket seat plug on our shelf says 90 degrees and 28 Nm.Read the torque before you fit it. The box gives 15 ft lb. Bosch's own published range is 15 to 29 ft lb for a cast iron head but only 8 to 14 for aluminium. So on an alloy head the figure on the box is already above what Bosch recommend. Look up your engine and use that number, not the carton.Where it goes. The Holden Calais and HSV with the Ecotec V6, and the Chevrolet Impala, roughly 1993 to 2004. Bosch Taper Seat Plug 0.7mm Gap NGK BPR6EFS - Bosch HR6DC
Bosch HR6DC spark plug, part number 0 242 240 514. Three in stock. From the Bosch Super range, with Cu-Electrode printed along the top of the yellow and grey carton. This is not our HR6DC+, and we checked. The two sit next to each other on the shelf and the codes differ by one character, so it was worth settling properly. They are separate parts: HR6DC, this one. Part 514. Gap 0.7mm. Copper electrode, Bosch Super, older yellow carton. HR6DC+. Part 591. Gap 0.8mm. Yttrium electrode, Bosch Super Plus, newer blue carton, made in Russia. Different part numbers, a tenth of a millimetre apart on the gap, and a different electrode material. Bosch's own numbering lists them separately. Work from the full code and the part number.Taper seat. The NGK number for this family is BPR6EFS, and the FS on the end is NGK's marking for a tapered seat. There is no washer. It wedges into a cone in the head and takes very little torque. Our HR6DC+ carton confirms it in Bosch's own terms, 15 degrees and 20 Nm.Where we have not gone further. The detailed vehicle list we found sits against the 591, not this 514. Rather than lift it across and hope, we have left it off. Bosch Mitsubishi Pajero Galant Iridium Plug - Bosch FR8LI332S
Bosch FR8LI332S spark plug, part number 0 242 230 506. Made in Germany, as printed on the carton. Six in stock. This is an iridium plug, not a copper one. The I in the code is Bosch's marking for iridium, and the cross references back it up. It matches NGK IZFR5B and Denso IK16, both of which are sold as iridium. Bosch describe the siblings in this 332S family as fine wire iridium.Do not regap it. Fine wire iridium plugs come preset, here at 0.70mm, and the centre electrode is a fraction of the thickness of a copper one. Putting a gapping tool near it usually snaps the tip clean off. Bosch Volvo S60 V70 XC90 Platinum Spark Plug - Bosch FR7DPP+
Bosch FR7DPP+ spark plug. Bosch stock number 6758, trade number 24, part number 0 242 235 749. Twenty three in stock, which is the deepest single line on our Bosch shelf and enough for four or five cars.Platinum centre, nickel ground. The carton says Platinum and Bosch's own data agrees, a fine wire platinum centre electrode at 0.6mm against a yttrium enhanced nickel ground strap. Worth being precise about, because the code looks similar to our double platinum FR7DPP332 and that one really does carry platinum on both electrodes. This is a Volvo plug above all else. Bosch Platinum Plus Spark Plug 1.1mm Gap - Bosch FR6DPX
Bosch FR6DPX spark plug, part number 0 242 240 533. Six in stock.PLATINUM PLUS is printed beside the Bosch name on the end of the carton. Same marking as our WR8DPX, so the same class of plug: a platinum centre electrode rather than plain copper, and a considerably longer service life for it.Made in Germany, and the box says by whom. This is an older carton that carries the full factory address, Robert Bosch GmbH, Auf der Breit 4, 76227 Karlsruhe. You do not see that printed on the modern boxes. The gap is the identifier here. It comes set at 1.10mm, which is wide, and that is what pins it to the NGK BKR6ES-11. The 11 on the end of that NGK code means exactly the same thing, an 1.1mm gap. Bosch Low Voltage 4.4V Diesel Glow Plug - Bosch 0250403002 GLP093
Genuine Bosch 0 250 403 002, trade number GLP093, also catalogued as GLP2HS. Duraterm High Speed line. New old stock, never fitted. The box shows storage age. The part is new and unused.Four in stock, which is a full set for a four cylinder. That is rare on this shelf and worth knowing if you are doing the whole engine. This is a 4.4 volt plug. Read that again. Duraterm High Speed plugs run on a low voltage feed, controlled by a glow module that pulses them. They are not 11 or 12 volt plugs. Put one of these on a straight 12 volt supply and you will destroy it in seconds. Put an 11 volt plug in a car that wants this one and it will never get hot enough. Match the voltage, not just the thread. Why low voltage. A High Speed plug reaches starting temperature in about four seconds, and the module then holds it there to smooth out idle and cut white smoke on a cold engine. It is a cleverer system than the old fixed-voltage plugs, and it is less forgiving of the wrong part.Specification 4.4 volt, 27.0 amp, 19 watt M8 x 1.0 thread, 8mm spanner 118mm long, 30mm fitting depth Cone pitch 93, PIN plug-in connector FitmentThe box names no vehicle. Match on the Bosch number 0250403002 or the trade number GLP093, and confirm your car runs a low voltage glow system. Send us your rego and we will check it before you buy.Fitting Confirm the voltage of the plug you are removing before you order. Low torque going in. These are M8 and they strip easily. Cold engine and penetrant if the old one is stuck. A snapped plug means the head comes off. Check the glow module too. On these systems the module fails more often than the plugs. Bosch Toyota Hilux Hiace 2L-TE Glow Plug - Bosch GPT-235
Genuine Bosch GPT-235 glow plug. Bosch part number F005X13004. Made in Japan. Four in stock.Toyota 2L-TE, the 2.4 turbo diesel. It crosses to Toyota 19850-54110 and 19850-54130, listed against the Hilux, Hiace and Land Cruiser with that engine. Plenty of those arrived here as imports and a lot are still working. The engine code decides this, not the model. This is the part that trips people up on Toyota diesels. The 2L, 2L-T, 2L-TE, 3L and 5L are all related engines but they do not all take the same glow plug. The choice comes down to the cylinder head casting, not the badge on the back of the ute. The 5L and 5L-E use a different plug entirely. Get the engine code off the block and check it against the number, or send us the rego and we will do it.Replace all of them at once. Glow plugs age together. If one has failed the others are not far behind, and pulling the same parts apart twice is a poor use of an afternoon. A four cylinder needs four.Other numbers. Toyota 19850-54110 and 19850-54130. HKT CP-20.Off the box Bosch GPT-235 Bosch part number F005X13004, suffix 4BH Made in Japan Barcode 9311831040099 FitmentToyota 2L-TE 2.4 diesel. If one feels tight, stop and soak it rather than leaning harder. A broken glow plug in the head is a cylinder head off job. Do not overtighten. They go in with far less than you would think. While you are there, check the glow plug relay. A dead relay kills a new set of plugs just as fast as an old one. Best fitted by a qualified mechanic.

Bosch Toyota Caldina Carina Corolla Diesel Glow Plug - GPT-233
Genuine Bosch GPT-233 glow plug. Bosch part number F005X13002. Made in Japan. Five in stock.Toyota C series diesel. It crosses to Toyota 19850-64050, listed against the Caldina, Carina, Corolla and Avensis. On the Carina the chassis codes given are CT150, CT170, CT170G and CT177, which are the 2C diesel cars. Daihatsu use the same number. These are import territory. Diesel Caldinas and Corollas came here in real numbers and a lot are still running around as cheap, economical wagons. Parts for them are getting harder to find.Rated at 11 volts. Worth knowing, because glow plug voltage is not something to guess at. If your system is running a different voltage plug, it is not the right part no matter what the thread looks like. The engine code decides this, not the model name. Toyota fitted several different glow plugs across the C series and the related diesels, and the cylinder head casting is what settles it. Read the code off the block, or send us the rego and we will check it against the number.Replace the full set. Glow plugs wear out together. One failed plug usually means the rest are close behind, and taking the same parts off twice is nobody's idea of a good weekend.Other numbers. Toyota and Daihatsu 19850-64050. Denso 0671001860. Bosch Nissan Patrol Y61 Safari 2.8 Diesel Glow Plug - GPN-324
Genuine Bosch GPN-324 glow plug. Five in stock.Nissan, not Toyota. This crosses to Nissan 11065-C8600, listed against the Patrol GR Y61 and its Japanese market twin the Safari, with the 2.8 turbo diesel. The HKT and VSP glow plug catalogues both pair this Nissan number with the RD28ETi from around 1997 onwards. Some catalogues also list it against earlier Patrol 160 and 260 series 3.2 diesels.Six cylinders means six plugs. The RD28ETi is a straight six, so a full set is six, not four. We have five, so if you are doing the lot you will need one more from somewhere.Y61 Patrols and Safari imports are thick on the ground here. The 2.8 is less common than the 4.2, but the ones that are about tend to be well used and cold starting is the first complaint.Other numbers. Nissan 11065-C8600. NGK Y-755RS, stock number 7771.
